Xiaomi wants to turn its most popular smart fitness tracker into a kind of smartwatch to apparently compete against manufacturers like Samsung and Apple. The Chinese company will announce next July the Xiaomi Band 7 Proa vitaminized version of the recently launched Mi Smart Band 7 that promises to stand out, mainly because of its appearance.

The design, in fact, is one of the few data that Xiaomi has confirmed about the Mi Band 7 Pro, which could suggest that it is the most outstanding feature of this device. Its appearance differs a lot from what the Chinese company has been offering for years for the Mi Band range.. It has, in particular, an aesthetic much more similar to that of a smart watch, with a larger case and, therefore, a considerably larger screen.

It is not clear whether the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro will maintain the features of the Mi Band 7 or add some more advanced features as a novelty. The company’s current SmartBand, remember, has sensors that allow you to measure heart rate, blood oxygen or sleep. Also different modes of exercise and sport; about 110 in all. Xiaomi also has a version with NFC to be able to make mobile payments. The only absence of the Mi Band 7 is the gpsa feature that could come to this model.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro will be announced in July

Xiaomi, in addition to the design, has confirmed that the Mi Band 7 Pro will be launched on July 4. Its price and availability, yes, are unknown. On the other hand, and that same July 4, the Chinese company also plans to announce the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. This is the first smartphone that will come under the association with Leica, a lens manufacturer that, let’s remember, started a collaboration with the Asian firm last May.
