The mere rumor of the arrival of a new Apple device is reason enough to know proposals for concepts that aim to get closer to the final result. To add to this list of these options, a group of designers set out to create a series of devices that result from the mixture of Apple TV and HomePod.
Although neither the Apple TV and the HomePod have been exactly best sellers for the company, Apple has insisted on their evolution to improve them considerably. Taking the best of both, the designer Eric Huismann next to the Swiss website team Handy Abovergleich collaborated to devise a series of Conceptual images of two future HomePods playing different roles.
They propose a more powerful audio device for Apple
While these particular designs may or may not foreshadow Apple’s future moves, the ideas this time round fit the forecast that Apple will try to beef up its strategy with a combination of HomePod, Apple TV and FaceTime camera sometime in 2023.
Handy Abovergleich and Eric Huismann’s first concept envisions a new product called HomePod TV. It combines the HomePod and Apple TV, with the HomePod transforming into a soundbar form. The HomePod TV idea seems to make sense, considering the Apple TV’s struggles to compete. Streaming offerings from companies like Amazon, Google, and Roku are less expensive. That’s partly because Apple TV includes high-end gaming hardware from tvOS.
Then the concept imagines the HomePod Show, which is a great smart speaker with a vivid Retina touchscreen. It includes the Siri digital assistant on board and offers control over the HomeKit smart home system. So it would be a high-quality speaker with a touch screen and a camera that is “designed to be heard and seen.”
The ideas of HomePod TV and HomePod Show seem to suggest that Apple can add relevance and value to the focus on your ability to make excellent audio devices. Both of these potential products would have to do with new audio bells and whistles like Dolby Atmos and spatial audio.
