There is no doubt that Assassin’s Creed 2 is, for many, the best game that Ubisoft’s open world saga has given. The title laid the foundations for what would be the saga above even the original title, and boasted one of the best plots of the time.
Now, thanks to a video created by the fabulous YouTube channel Digital Dreamswe can imagine what a ray traced Assassin’s Creed 2 remake could look like, running on an RTX 3090 and adding new effects through mods and external programs. You can see for yourself below.
The remake of Red Dead Redemption would already be in development
For this specific video, the channel has rendered the game at 4K, with mods and a reshade created by themselves and present in most of their videos, called Beyond all limits Reshade. The results teach us how could a higher quality remaster look likesince Ubisoft itself has already remastered the title previously, although with quite poor results.
This is what an Assassin’s Creed 2 remake with ray tracing could look like
Unfortunately, we will probably never see a facelift for this historical title that brings it to the level of current games, but if we have a powerful enough PC, we can at least get it quite close, as we can see in this video.
Assassin’s Creed 2 was released in November 2009.
