ResetEra does it again.
The market for portable consoles was booming a few years ago, when we had Nintendo and PlayStation launching consoles of this type and surprising everyone. There was a time when it seemed that companies had lost interest in this type of product, but Nintendo came to save it again by launching a hybrid console, which was both portable and desktop: the Nintento Switch. Probably thanks to the success of this console, the market has risen again, with companies like Valve wanting inin this case with the Steam Deck.
Despite this, one of the original problems with this type of console still exists, and that is that its limited size usually affects the power of its components. This is not always the case, but in most cases this is the reality. Therefore, a good alternative to this is a portable console that is cloud-centricthat is, that she does not have to run the video games herself, but instead connects, through a server, to another more powerful device that can run it without problems.
Logitech and Tencent join the laptop market
At the beginning of August of this year 2022, we learned of a rumor that Logitech and Tencent they had teamed up to launch a portable console. The particularity of this would be that it would focus on cloud gaming. Soon this news was confirmed, although since then we have known little.
Now, thanks to a leak in the well-known ResetEra forum, has leaked a series of images of this console, which appear to be part of the company’s business strategy. Also, as we already knew, these images seem to indicate that services like Xcloud or GeForce Now will work on this console, although the most interesting detail that we can get from these images is that would this device work with androidsince we can appreciate the digital store of this operating system.
The person who has leaked these images is the well-known “leaker” Evan Blass, so we can give these images enough truth, although as always, it is necessary to be cautious, because these have not yet been officially confirmed. We can only wait until the companies involved in this decide to speak out, at which point we will probably know more details about this device.
