At the time of writing this article, La Casa del Dragón has a average grade of 68 in metacritic with 25 contemplated reviews. For reference, Game of Thrones amassed an 86 over its eight seasons, so the spinoff seems a long way from the original series. The critics highlight its magnificent workmanship and its very interesting script, while the most negative ones highlight the impossibility of having separated from the final legacy of Game of Thrones and a lack of entertainment during viewing. The reviews, by the way, refer to the first episodes of the series and not the entire season. The first chapter of The House of the Dragon will be available Monday, August 22 on HBO Max.
