Elden Ring has broken a sales record since it came out in February, largely due to being FromSoftware’s most successful and popular release on Steam. It outperformed other installments and, after a burst of fame among gamers, came second only to LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which was also one of the highlights of the year. But, fortunately, FromSoftware has gone to great lengths to stay on the wish lists of those fans who want to have it in their libraries.
Of course, the commercial success does not come by itself, but can be attributed to the story, the difficulty and the enormous number of hours you can spend without knowing all the details that its vast open world hides. Although, of course, the way you can defeat your opponents has a lot to do with discovering your skills on the battlefield, various hidden moves, combat tricks and so on. The perfect example of this has already been given to us by some of their fans who have spent an impressive amount of hours to understand the mechanics of the game.
That said, it is possible that among all the feats that the Elden Ring players have achieved, there are some that continue to surprise us. But behind intense practice against bosses and an ever-expanding knowledge of the Midlands, lurk many other details that players eventually want to share with other members of the online gaming community.
Although they tend to focus on the most complex games (which give an air of never ending thanks to their enormous difficulty) and the craziest theories that arise from multiple stories of the characters and their relationship to the theme, there are also other secrets that they could be there, among the experiences of the fans.
What do we mean by the above? The question is simple to answer. Some of the Elden Ring fans have their own methods to ensure successful matches.Whether it’s studying the behaviors of their enemies to know how to attack them, collecting as many items as possible to help them in moments of desperation, going through the dungeons before being surprised by an intimidating rival or, well, keeping track of all the times they die in the game.
Just as you have read. Very surely it could seem a bit meticulous considering that to pass each of the levels there are many obstacles that you could not pass on the first try. But that is what an Elden Ring fan has decided to learn from, to analyze his own plays.
An Elden Ring player keeps track of his battles
While other people complete the game multiple times unlocking New Game Plus mode in Elden Ring, one player decided to go further, by finishing the game three times (here we could include New Game, New Game+ and New Game++).
So, going back to how detail-oriented fans can be, it turns out that this player likes numbers and is quite tidy, as he has been in charge of recording the statistics of each game, in particular the number of deaths. The Reddit user named Last893shared an image showing the community a table with the number of times he has died to each Elden Ring boss during his entire three games. And not only this, but the player has also calculated the average number of deaths of all enemies at each difficulty level.
This graph is very interesting, since it leaves us with a few conclusions. The first one is that the player’s worst opponents were the Knights of the Crucible in his first playthrough, due to dying 71 times, followed by 52 times in Tree Sentinels. In fact, the player managed to dodge this pair of enemies during the second and third games. But, on the contrary, with the third one, which is Malenia, Miquella’s Back, he had a few difficulties since she managed to kill Ultima893 more than 30 times in each game.
Quickly, other netizens reaffirmed something that had already been said about Malenia and it is that this is the hardest boss in Elden Ring. And, consequently, the statistics only confirmed it. On the other hand, other players pointed out an interesting fact: there were 71 kills at the hands of the Knights of the Crucible, but none by Alecto (the Leader of the Black Knives). This surprised more than one considering that he is known to be a great challenge.
In summary, Last893 he is not the only Elden Ring player who has prepared a stat to show the complexity of the game, as others have even shown flow charts; but it is possible that in the future we will continue to see open world fans order their own games.
