Surely you have had a frustrating call with your internet or telephone provider to report a service failure or a wrong charge. It can be an annoying, frustrating, and often useless experience. But the future looks bright as one company developed a chatbot of artificial intelligence that will fight with these services for you so that you pay less.
The company’s DoNotPay bot featured a prototype of its bot on Twitter and it quickly went viral. In a video shared on the social network posted by the company’s CEO, Joshua Browder, the bot is seen negotiating a bill with Comcast in real time.
The chatbot could make you pay less
The video has been viewed more than 496,000 times since it was posted on December 12. It shows how the bot starts talking to a customer service representative about problems with their service. Artificial intelligence is capable of mentioning exact dates and times of interruptions.
“I would like you to give me a better rate on my current plan without compromising any services or benefits associated with it,” the bot tells the agent. “Otherwise, I will switch providers immediately.”
The chatbot is even capable of verifying information about the customer, such as address, account number, and current plan.
The robot, with everything and that still “talks” in a way, well, roboticsmanaged to get a new plan $10 cheaper per month.
This tool will be “publicly available” soon, according to Joshua Browder.
Ahem, and for when the Spanish version?
