In continuity with the articles and information collected on the relationship between cryptocurrencies and remittances, Cointelegraph en Español has spoken with Ulysses Alzogaray, Country Manager of Bitwage in Argentina, the international platform for payroll, invoicing and payments on the Bitcoin block chain.
According to Alzogaray at present, cryptocurrencies are not only useful for sending remittances, but to date, he says, they are the most recommended way of doing it. since he considers them an excellent way to avoid the friction and high fees that we traditionally associate with international money transfers.
In this sense, he explains that the difference with traditional systems is that cryptocurrencies can offer lower fees associated with more competitive exchange rates and generally more profitable transactions. “All this is without mentioning the efficiency and speed of these, which leave the more traditional systems of international money transfers out of the game”he added.
Likewise, he spoke about the security that implies having when carrying out operations with cryptocurrencies if it is going to be used as an alternative for remittances.
“If you know what you’re doing, it’s hard to go wrong. That is why it is advisable to rely on friends or acquaintances. that are already on the subject, in addition to being informed and learning by oneself”commented.
“We at Bitwage offer our assistance to anyone who intends to start trading crypto. Exchanges seem a priori complicated to understand, but for practical purposes they are actually quite simple to use”Alzogaray added.
On the other hand, Alzogaray commented that from Bitwage, by being able to offer salary payment solutions in crypto, they have the possibility of closely seeing all the advances related to crypto technology in relation to international payments. “What we see from the trend is that the frictions related to this type of payment tend to go down and the implementation and adoption tend to go up. So it is interesting to think that in the future, crypto will be not only the best method to send money internationally, but also the most popular”he explained.
That said, although it is true that despite the fact that cryptocurrencies have had a great receptivity and adoption in society, it is important to highlight that there is still a long way to go, and Remittances today represent one of the ways to publicize, support or make them useful as we have been able to notice from the broad opinion of the experts.
