A new case of discrimination by Delta Airlines has been exhibited by a user on Twitter.
The issue of inclusion, although it is nothing new or something that has arisen spontaneously, continues to generate great controversy, especially on social networks, this being the scenario where it has been most talked about and debated.
More than a trend or fashion, the issue of inclusion is becoming a reality that is even growing with the passing of days and is reaching more sectors.
The new generations are, to a large extent, responsible for the great changes that are taking place throughout the world and, in that sense, they are setting the tone for what will happen in the coming years.
One of the most important changes in recent years has to do, without a doubt, with the issue of inclusion, which is gaining more strength in various sectors, such as fashion, cinema, sports, among others.
However, despite the great efforts that have been made, there is still much to be done and acts of discrimination are and will continue to be reported in order to reach a point of communion between all positions.
Precisely, since last January 6, a tweet from the user called attention @truth_trumps, who, through his account, denounced a new act of discrimination by the airline Delta Airlines.
The claim arose after, according to the Twitter user, named Dawn Harry and 52 years old, the airline refused to sell a ticket of gender “X” to her son, who identifies as a non-binary person.
Said case occurred in the state of Arizona, in the United States, where, in addition, Harry wrote that “the Transportation Security Administration requires that the reservation of the boarding pass match your identification issued by the state. The Transportation Security Administration accepts ‘X’ as a gender marker on state IDs. The problem is the airlines.
Inclusion in the world
More and more we are seeing how the issue of inclusion is positioning itself in the different areas of the market: cinema, television, sports, etc.
One of the most recent cases has to do with the last edition of the Olympic Games, where a truly historic event occurred, where a Canadian soccer player became the first non-binary transgender person to hang an Olympic medal.
What’s more, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics have been, so far, the most inclusive in history and this trend is expected to continue to grow as time goes by and this issue becomes even more normalized.
Another case is that of the Tommy Hilfiger brand, which has even launched a clothing line for the sector that identifies itself as non-binary and other brands are following in its footsteps. Likewise, fashion catwalks increasingly include trans models, as part of their strategy to be more inclusive.
