A high school baseball championship in New York had an epic ending that left everyone present speechless, but especially the players of the national teams themselves. Palmyra-Macedon High School and Hornell High School, for the Section V Class B1 Championship. What happened? Everything was recorded in a viral video.
Palmyra was a run behind his opponent until his last strike in the ninth inning, when the impossible happened on the last play. The school had runners in scoring position when the batter looked at the pitch and it appeared he could have been called out for a strike.
However, the ball appeared to touch the ground, meaning the catcher would have to tag the batter or throw the ball to first base to complete the out, but the Hornell High School players began celebrating ahead of time.
Championship ends with two runs scoring on a dropped strike three while the other team is celebrating thinking they won.
