Amid a strong wave of infections caused by the Omicron variant, the road to Super Bowl 2022 begins in the United States.
2021 is behind us and the next Super Bowl LVI halftime show will be, in essence, a tribute to hip hop with the inclusion of up to five of its greatest exponents in the United States.
The edition of this 2021, for example, had the existence of Covid-19 and the pandemic, but, with all that, it was possible to carry out and deliver a great show with The Weeknd and, above all, a match that remained in the history.
Now, for 2022, in an emergency framework due to the presence of the Omicron variant of Covid, a different celebration is expected, since, in addition, it is preparing for the great return to the city of Los Angeles after three decades.
To begin with, the match, which will take place on February 13 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, in the state of California, United States, will feature the presence of five very important artists in the history of hip hop: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
In other words, it is a tribute to hip hop that Pepsi and the NFL are preparing for their return to one of the areas where hip hop is one of the most listened to and colorful genres: Los Angeles.
“Artists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the forefront of the West Coast hip-hop revolution, so bringing them back to Los Angeles where it all started alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will prove to be will be an epic and unforgettable celebration of the impact hip-hop has today,” said Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing for Pepsi in a statement. AdWeek.
However, what is most expected for this 56th edition of the Super Bowl is a long string of advertisers. NBC Sports, which is the chain that coordinates the transmission of the sporting event, had five spaces for advertisements in September with a duration of 30 seconds and the price of 6.5 million each, that is, it had an increase of 1 million, compared to the 2021.
