Since 2017 WhatsApp has designed its own emojis based on the new Unicode-authorized additions. However, many times it also takes some of the emojis that Apple releases on its devices to bring them to its application on mobile devices.
That is the case of the latest update in its beta version for Android, as it reveals WABetaInfo, the company launched 24 new emojis in this version, which are based on several of the emojis that Apple made official with the arrival of iOS 14.5.
Among the new emojis available are: the bearded woman, the hypnotized face, the face in the clouds, the bandaged heart and many more.
Although these emojis arrived in version 13.1 authorized by Unicode and Google implemented them in their Pixels in Android 11, not all Android devices have these in their catalog, so now users can express themselves with any of the new emojis from WhatsApp.
How to test these new emojis on Android?
The first thing you should do is sign up for the WhatsApp beta program for Android. If you don’t know how to do it, here we tell you step by step what you should do.
Once registered, you only need to download the latest version corresponding to build number 2.21.16.10.
Ready, that will be enough to enjoy the new emojis released in iOS 14.5 and the Google Pixel with Android 11.
It is important to clarify that these emojis are not exactly the same as the Apple and Google versions, because after Unicode authorizes them, companies can make slight modifications to make them “unique” and distinguishable from other platforms.
