To return to our country, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) published a bulletin about the theft of two batches of Botox. Therefore, it is valuable information that you should know to avoid its consumption and expose your patients.
Characteristics of the stolen products
Based on what has been described, the theft was done at the company Allergan SA de CV and the stolen product was Botox (botulinum toxin type A). Therefore, the health authority asks the population, health professionals, distributors and pharmacies not to purchase or supply this product if it has lot numbers C7749C3 with an expiration date of May 24, 2025 and C7773C3 with an expiration date of 1 June 2025.
This is due to the fact that the handling and storage conditions of the product after its theft are unknown, which is why they represent a risk to the health of the population.
