A new rumor brings some disappointing news as it seems that there will be no other day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass from third party developers for this 2022. Over the course of the last year, Microsoft has made a greater effort with Xbox Game Pass to bring notable third-party titles to the service, many of them on the day of their launch: MLB The Show 22, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Outriders, to name a few.
And while it seems likely that Microsoft will keep trying to add new titles to its service, it seems we shouldn’t expect another day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass from third-party publishers in the remainder of 2022. Or so Nick Baker believes. On the other hand, we know that there will be an Xbox Game Pass subscription, and we already know how much you save with this Xbox Game Pass family plan.
Won’t there be another day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass this year?
Baker stressed that he wasn’t absolutely sure there wouldn’t be another day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass this year, but he explained during the most recent episode of the XboxEra Podcast that he doesn’t think high-profile titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Gotham Knights or others land on Xbox Game Pass. Assuming this rumor is true, it would make the Xbox lineup in the second half of 2022 not so full of surprises, although there is still a lot to see.
When will the Xbox Game Pass family plan arrive in Spain?
Microsoft’s line of first-party games doesn’t seem to be full of surprises to close out the year. Though 2023 looks stronger for Xbox with games like Starfield, Redfall and Forza Motorsport. Now, just because there isn’t another day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass doesn’t mean major games won’t be coming to the service. It should be noted that this is all just a rumor at the moment, so take what Baker has said with a grain of salt.
