Since this summer, users who renew their iPhone for a Samsung Galaxy can transfer their chats from iOS to Android, a feature that begins to expand to more devices as of today.
Google has announced that WhatsApp chat transfer from iPhone to Android, after its premiere in the Samsung galaxy, now reaches all mobiles Pixel. In addition, this feature to migrate our WhatsApp conversations will also be available on new mobiles that are released with Android 12.
Transfer your WhatsApp chats from iOS to Android
Google has worked hand in hand with the WhatsApp team to bring this requested feature to its own Pixels and to mobiles that come from the factory with Android 12. The transfer process will be done through Google’s Data Transfer Tool application.
The transfer process will be very simple. During the Android configuration wizard, when the mobile asks us if we want to transfer the data from an iPhone we will have to connect both devices with a USB-C to Lightning cable, and when our Android asks us, scan the QR code with the iPhone to open WhatsApp and move all your conversations, media and more to your new device.
Transferring WhatsApp chats from iOS to Android will copy all conversations, photos, videos, audios, voice messages and files to the new device. Google and WhatsApp guarantee that the data will remain protected throughout the process transfer so that no one else can access your information and WhatsApp files.
