At the same time that Samsung presented the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip 4, Xiaomi wanted to join the party and leaked the first glimpses of its upcoming Mix Fold 2 foldablebefore its own launch event scheduled for this Thursday, August 11.
While this Mix Fold 2 won’t have the same international reach as Samsung’s foldables, it’s interesting to see how other companies are stepping up their efforts on this type of smartphone. Huawei tried it with some Mate X models, we have already seen the Xiaomi Mi Mix, the Oppo Find N, Vivo X Fold, among others.
Focusing on the new Xiaomi terminal, we must admit that it is one of the slimmest foldables ever released. The website of BGR shared details about the team.

As the report explains, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is destined to surpass the design of Samsung’s Fold 4. The Chinese supplier will present the Fold 2 this Thursday and leaked images and teasers in which they highlight the thinness of the new folding.
Twitter insider Ice Universe compared the Chinese company’s new smartphone to the Fold 3 from the same angle. It is clearly seen that the Xiaomi one, under the shadows and with a golden glow, is much thinner, taking into account that the thickness of the Samsung model is 16 mm.
To get an idea, each half of the Fold 2 is slightly thicker than the USB-C port: only 5 millimeters. It couldn’t get any thinner than that, especially since the phone has to offer durability that meets foldable standards. Xiaomi probably went for a very slim and innovative battery.
Next, the teaser that presents the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.
