Add more flavor to your ice cream and make it healthier with your own syrups. By preparing them, you control what you eat.
It is better to eat a giant candy than to put your spoon in prepared ice cream (caramel syrup, chocolates filled with peanut butter, and pieces of brownie). Enjoy ice cream without all those calories – garnish a scoop with these low-fat syrups.
Dark chocolate sauce
1 bar of semi-sweet chocolate cut into pieces
1 tbsp. black coffee
1/4 of Cup of whipping cream
1/2 tbsp. of butter
Mix the first three ingredients in a bowl. Microwave them until melted (one to two minutes) and stir occasionally. Add the butter and mix until smooth.
Fresh strawberry sauce
1 Cup of strawberries in pieces and without leaves
2-3 tbsp. of sugar
1/2 tbsp. orange liqueur
Combine everything in a medium bowl. Crush the strawberries until the sauce is completely smooth. Let it rest 10 minutes before serving.
Maple and walnut sauce
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp. rum
2 tbsp. roasted chopped walnuts
a pinch of salt
Combine ingredients and simmer until reduced by half. Add the nuts and serve the sauce hot.
