The Subaru Forester Facelift debuts important news in Europe
The Japanese firm will offer the renewed SUV in Europe with a single mechanical version equipped with «e-Boxer Hybrid» technology. Its flat four-cylinder engine has 2.0 liters and develops a maximum power of 150 hp, associated with the “Lineartronic” CVT automatic transmission. The system has been set up to recover energy from braking and the motor holding phase when descending slopes and during decelerations.
The SUV also has, as standard, an all-wheel drive “S-AWD” that adds active vectoring of engine torque. The Japanese have improved the operation of the “Sport” driving mode, which automatically activates the «e-Active Shift Control» system, offering a faster and more energetic response. Japanese technicians have also improved the behavior of the “X-Mode” system, connecting up to a maximum speed of 35 km / h and whereby it takes advantage of the full capacity of the four-wheel drive off the asphalt. It only remains for the European division of the Japanese brand to announce the prices and the date of commercialization, so as not to waste any more time and continue with the successful model, a release that is expected to be delayed no more than next spring.
