Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will be taking a break from the adventures of the DC Animated Universe. At this time they have decided to adapt the 1968 horror classic The night of the Living Dead, of George A. Romero. Titled Night of the Animated Dead, the film’s small screen adaptation will be released digitally on September 21, 2021 and on Blu-Ray Combo Pack and DVD on October 5, 2021.
According to his synopsis, La Night of the Dead animated tells the story of brothers Babara and Johnny who are visiting their father’s grave in a remote Pennsylvania cemetery when they are unexpectedly attacked by zombies. Barbara flees and finds herself on an abandoned farm with biker Ben and four local survivors who are hiding in the basement. They must work together and fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies, while facing their own fears and prejudices.

Jason axinn, of Until your last death (2020), directs Night of the Animated Dead. Zombies are no longer as popular as they used to be, as the interest of The walking dead has decreased, but between this movie and the anime prequel to Zack snyder On Netflix, the impact of zombies in the animation environment is growing.
