There is little more to the 2000 than the PS2 home screen. Under the name of Sony Computer Entertainment a collection of long blocks appears that, forming towers, make up futuristic gray cities of different sizes.
It is not something that has taken away our sleep during all these years, in fact my mind had completely erased the data, but I was surprised to learn that behind those enigmatic towers there were a direct relationship with the game.
After discussing the relationship between save files and the number of towers that appear on the opening screen, the user @gtktktmbc has brought to the table the real reason behind seeing more or less blocks depending on the game.
In reality we will see very few the first time we play and, from there, they will grow as we start that same game. What determines the number of rooks is actually how many times have you played.
This is handled by the file saved in the console’s memory that keeps track, so you could delete any type of information from the Memory Card and the blocks would still be there. Hence also that the growth was almost imperceptible unless you changed one game for another. Growing gradually it was difficult to notice.
