Everything points to the Samsung Galaxy S22 They will be officially presented on February 8. Numerous details have been leaked from the new range, as usual, including many of its technical characteristics and even renders of its external appearance. However, one detail had remained secret until now: the price.
the acquaintance leaker Roland Quandt, however, has cleared up the aforementioned unknown during the last hours. And, in principle, we will find little surprise in this regard: the Galaxy S22 will cost the same as its predecessors:
- S22 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage: 849 euros.
- S22 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage: 899 euros.
- S22 + with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage: 1,049 euros.
- S22 + with 8 GB of RAM and 259 GB of storage: 1,099 euros.
- S22 Ultra with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage: 1,249 euros.
- S22 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage: 1,349 euros.
- S22 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage: 1,449 euros.
The only difference in this pricing scheme we find it in the entry-level Galaxy S22 Ultra, that is, the one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.birth. Last year, the Galaxy S21 Ultra initially cost exactly the same, but included 12 GB of RAM, while this year’s only has 8 GB. A small step back in this generation.
This will be the Samsung Galaxy S22
The Galaxy S22 will be Samsung’s next reference phones. As on previous occasions, they aspire to compete at the top of the market with phones like the iPhone 13 (in all its versions). On this occasion, the company is expected to present three models: a standard S22, an S22+ and an S22 Ultra, the latter being the brand’s flagship.
The three models would share a processor (Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1), as well as other internal components. Nevertheless, this year we would find more aesthetic differences than in 2021. Specifically, the Galaxy S22 Ultra would adopt forms closer to that of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, while the S22 and S22+ would present a design closer to that of the S21.
also among the models we would find differences in the photographic field. While the two initial models would have three cameras, the S22 Ultra would raise that number to four: one main, two telephoto lenses and one wide angle. Although improvements in the performance of the aforementioned cameras are expected, the distribution is quite similar to what we found at the time in the S21.
Finally, one of the most outstanding novelties of the S22 Ultra would be the integration of the S-Pen, the pencil that the South Korean company incorporated into the Galaxy Note. This, unlike what we saw in the S21 Ultra, yes it would live inside the device.
