The German firm has surprised with the presentation of the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25, a new limited edition exclusively for the track for the most loyal and wealthy customers of the brand that has been developed expressly as a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Manthey Racing.
Porsche has presented a new and exclusive limited edition exclusively for the track, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25, endowed with a very aggressive aesthetic and aerodynamic configuration and developed specifically to maximize the performance of the model on the track. This new track-only version has been developed in collaboration with Manthey Racing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Nürburgring-based team.
The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 is not just another variant of the 911 range, as it is a model very similar to the Porsche 935 Clubsport that was presented in 2018 and with which it precisely shares a mechanical basis. Like the latter, Manthey Racing’s new sports car is exclusively dedicated to the circuit and it enjoys a specific bodywork, making it more like the racing variants of the German model than the 911 GT2 RS from which it is derived.
The new track-only variant is also based on the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and therefore shares with it the engine of 6-cylinder flat 3.8-liter twin-turbo that delivers 700 hp. Although as a non-registrable model, this new Clubsport version has a frame configuration more typical of a competition model, as well as its spectacular and sculpted aerodynamic suit.
On the front we found a totally new bumper with large rectangular air intakes at the ends and a pronounced front splitter, several vents and air intakes on the hood and new optics. The oversized wheel arches merge in the lateral area to form large air intakes and a wider rear, longtail styleWhile at the rear we find a completely new diffuser and a huge spoiler that seems to be taken from the GT3 racing variants.
Limited edition
This version will be marketed in the form of an exclusive limited edition as Only 30 units will be manufactured, each for € 525,000, a slightly higher price than the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport track-only that was presented at the end of 2018.
