With the warmth of spring and summer just around the corner, we increasingly want to spend time outdoors enjoying experiences that give us the sun and the air.
Madrid is inaugurating wonderful plans with good weatherand today we are going to tell you about two novelties that reach the rooftops of the city thanks to two hotels, the Emperador Hotel and The Principal Hotel.
We do a two in one and we propose a day plan that is finished off with an afternoon plan that we love and that allows us enjoy Madrid’s rooftops on Gran Vía as never before.
A day on the rooftop with the largest pool in Madrid
The Hotel Emperador already has its roof terrace open with the largest swimming pool in Madrid. A wonderful pool that is located on the hotel terrace and that has an exclusive signature cocktail bar with barbecue service and even a pool coworking to which we have promised ourselves to go as soon as the sun shines to enjoy the pool while we work.
The terrace of the Emperor Hotelof 1,200 square meters, allows us to see the Madrid skyline and on the hottest afternoons it will have extra activities such as summer cinema or DJ sessions to mark a pool party In all rules.
Although it is free for guests (they have rooms from 86 euros per night), anyone can enjoy a wonderful pool day for 55 euros per person from Monday to Thursday (Friday, Saturday and holidays it goes up to 69 euros). The ticket includes a towel, the use of a deckchair and a glass of Möet Ice, although two people can always go and rent a Balinese bed (with a bottle of Moet Ice and a plate of seasonal fruit included), to feel in paradise for 200 euros per couple.
Emperor Hotel. Rooms from 86 euros per night in a double room.
Afternoon with free concerts on a rooftop in Madrid
Now that the sun has filled us with energy, it is time to experience a very special afternoon with the free concerts “The Principal Sunset Sessions”. We love the music, especially if it is accompanied by something special as in the Thyssen Appetizersand this time it is accompanied by spectacular views of Madrid.
Every Wednesday from eight o’clock, the terrace on the roof of The Principal hotel is filled with live music so that both guests and anyone who wants to enjoy panoramic views of the city with a musical plan, do it.
The participating artists are so diverse that in the agenda (which you can consult here) there is from soul to flamenco through jazz, rumba or R&B. This year that “from Madrid to heaven” will be truer than ever, especially if you are enjoying the rooftops of the capital.
