Now, a first advance confirms the moment of his world stardom.
In the middle of last fall, spy photos uncovered the design of the new Mercedes T-Class 2022 in all its splendor while the official videos of the publicity material were being shot. A couple of spy photos from a bird’s-eye view made it possible to see some of the specific details that will give it the most distinctive touch compared to the Citan and Citan Tourer, which are already on sale and are authentic commercial vehicles with specifications for professionals or for mixed.
Because, this time, Mercedes has differentiated between the commercial model and another more versatile one, practical and especially intended for passenger transport, despite the fact that it is also a development of the vans and commercial vehicles division of Mercedes Vans. One of the distinguishing details of the new T-Class the thing is it will not be offered with paneled sides, but glazed. But also with a different front, as you can see in the official preview that the brand has issued, confirming, at the same time, the presentation date.

A full-fledged Premium van that will see the spotlights on April 26, and that is distinguished by some new headlights and a new light signature with two lines of LEDs that run horizontally along the upper edge, unprecedented and never before seen in any model of the latest batch of the star range. Also, although the grille shares the main shape, its interior finish will be more elaborate with different horizontal chrome slats, depending on the level of finishsportier or more elegant.
The T-Class has sliding doors on both sides and a large vertically opening tailgate, facilitating access and exit, and with the possibility of removing the seats to expand the interior space. According to Mercedes, it has been designed for customers who need a lot of space but do not want a large model, with different equipment packages adapted to the needs. Even a package with a more off-road personality will also be offered, in addition to the usual arsenal of comfort technologies, connectivity and safety assistants.
Based on the latest generation of the Renault Kangoo, the range of engines will be shared with the French model, with the four-cylinder petrol block and 1.3-liter TCe with 130 hp and available with both a six-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed automatic. Mercedes will also offer a zero emission variant, the electric EQT that will delay its presentation and release until the second half of 2022arriving on the market in 2023 with the typical image of the Mercedes EQ models.
