The Trident firm is preparing a great spring novelty, one of the highest, judging by the advances it is launching. After the new Grecale, the next on the list is known, the new Maserati MC20 Cabrio. A high performance sports car to enjoy the road with the sky for a roof.
The sports brand from Modena already has an upcoming novelty planned in its launch schedule. After the world debut of the new Grecale, the firm’s second SUV, it is now betting on a tall product with the sky as its roof, which points to a high-performance convertible. And that is none other than the expected Maserati MC20 Convertible.
The canvas roof variant that the manufacturer officially announced at the end of last year, the second option of the supercar. And it is missing one more, completely that will receive the surname “Folgore” and will arrive before the middle of the decade. The convertible MC20 has also been seen on a test day in northern Europe, taking advantage of the long winter in northern Sweden, camouflaged as in the official previews and without giving clues about the roof. The key piece of a very sporty design, but also more elegant with the roof folded and unfolded.

The new Maserati MC20 Cabrio will be uncovered in a few weeks
The Italian manufacturer has been especially cautious in the prototypes, deforming the real design to prevent the real one from being discovered, although it suggests a maximum level of aggressiveness thanks to some “humps” behind the front seats. An authentic spider or roadster, compared to the name Cabrio, for which those of the Trident have opted. The truth is that the original features will remain intact, with the exception of the roof, which we do not know if it will be manual or electric, and how it will fold considering that the engine of this sports car is housed in a central rear position.
With only two seats, the new MC20 Convertible will debut at the right time of the year and at the height of the most appropriate season for its use, in spring. Those of the Trident have summoned us to the next 25 of May to undress the new convertible sports car, and know all its details that we will tell you.
What Maserati has confirmed are its specifications. For example the chassis will continue to be manufactured by the Italians from Dallara, so a low weight is ensured thanks to the carbon fiber. And also the engine, so the new “Nettuno” propeller will be hidden under the rear cover. A technological block of six cylinders and 3.0 liters biturbo which, without any electrification, has managed to reach the level of 630 hp maximum powerdigested by the rear axle through the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
