The new 2020 iPad Pro came almost by surprise when few expected it so early, however, it may all be due to a new strategy by Apple. It appears that the company has decided to move the iPad Pro launch date to the beginning of the year, rather than launching it late along with the new iPhones.
The new rumors that have just appeared fix the release date of the next iPad Pro throughout the first half of 2021, so we will not see new iPad Pro this year in October as on other occasions. This space will be occupied by the other iPad models since this year we do expect a fairly deep renovation of the entry iPad, iPad mini and iPad Air.
The new iPad Pro aims high in terms of specifications and two of the best-known filters have just given us new information about what awaits us in this range of iPad.
A fully equipped iPad Pro
The first to speak has been the well-known Fudge account, which on previous occasions has already revealed interesting information about Apple devices. In this first tweet, he revealed that the new iPad Pro will use the A14X processor, an evolution of the A14 that the iPhone 12 will use and which will be 5 nm. And also their internal names.

This tweet has been answered by another of the accounts that is leaking the most this year: L0vetodream, which reveals that these two models will be presented throughout the first half of 2021, which will feature rumored mini-LED screens and with 5G technology. Something that makes a lot of sense since the 4 iPhone 12 models will also have 5G. To connect to 5G networks, iPad will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 modem, which supports mmWave and sub-6GHz.

These leaks make much more sense than others we had heard that indicated that the new iPad Pro would arrive this year. It is not normal for Apple to launch a renewal of any of its devices within a year, in fact, it is something that has only happened once with the iPad 3, released in March 2014, and the iPad 4 presented in November later that year with a more powerful processor and Lightning connector instead of the 30-pin.
In this way, in case these new rumors are fulfilled, Apple’s release schedule for the rest of the year will be reduced. We will see an event after summer, September or October, in which the iPhone 12 and, perhaps, the Apple Watch Series 6 are presented. And another event later, probably in November, in which we will see new iPad models, but not the iPad Pro, which is reserved for the beginning of 2021, probably in the month of March.
