Almost a year in testing they already accumulate the prototypes of the new Genesis G90 2022, and the light of the end of its development is already beginning to be seen. The new spy photos show a prototype of the Korean luxury saloon storming the Nürburgring circuit much lighter in camouflage. The new spy photos already reveal the large dimensions of the flagship.
A year in testing and with the large dark curtains that wrap much of the bodywork of the Korean models, as in the new Genesis G90 2022, where until now the majestic proportions could not be appreciated with such great clarity. The news spy photos of the luxurious saloon on the Nürburgring circuit discover part of its modern and elegant design.
The snapshots of the luxurious G90 show how the luxury brand has detached itself from the heavy canvases, revealing the new grille with chrome ridges and slim LED headlights in the traditional two parallel stripes. The stylists of the Korean brand have printed a special detail on the engine hood, a cutout that follow the line of the arches of the wheel arches, the hood panel itself forming part of the front wings.
The new Genesis G90 2022, a serious rival for the German super sedans
The new G90 has lost the thick camouflage and reveals details such as the door handles flush with the body panels or the large proportions of the luxury saloon, which will exceed five meters. Behind, the taillights are also partially visible, revealing a new one-piece design, instead of the classic independent stripes.
The interior is occupied by a tubular safety cage, which gives an idea of the large power and torque figures hidden in the largest of the Genesis models. Under the hood, the Genesis G90 will mount the big engine of 3.5-liter biturbo gasoline V6, a replacement for the old 5.0-liter V8, which can reach maximum powers of the order of 450 hp. The model will feature rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and 10-speed automatic transmission options.
A flagship that will be for a wide space, power and technology, the first model of the brand that will have two powerful LIDAR sensors for level 3 autonomous driving. The Koreans work on an algorithm so powerful that it will be able to “see” in the most unfavorable weather conditions, including thick fog or rain.
