Vehicle design continues to evolve year after year, and while many companies maintain a specific design over time, there are others that try to innovate even in the most unexpected and unsuspected aspects. That’s just what has made the car brand Ford, who wanted to give the company’s new truck, the Ford F-150.
Specifically, they wanted to give a utility to its rear turn signals. Apparently they didn’t want them to just serve their lifelong role of pointing other drivers in the direction you are going to take the truck, but they are also, literally a scale. This is how he has shared it Mike levine on Twitter, director of communications for Ford North America.
Love the new onboard scales for F-150. The two (of four) small LEDs in the tail lamps let you know how much payload capacity you have left. pic.twitter.com/43ZeC918Qy

The rear indicators of the truck have four LED lights that are turning on depending on the load of the vehicle. When it has too much charge, all four lights will come on and the last one will blink. It’s certainly a twist to find a second utility for turn signals, and it makes special sense in a truck.
Of course, the Ford F-150 has a screen inside where you can see more accurately the weight that the truck is carrying at that moment. In addition, you can include the weight of the people who are going to be mounted so that the system takes it into account and indicates it to you.
