Battle Royale have been out of fashion for a while now. Yes, some big names in the genre, such as Fortnite or Apex Legends, continue to be played day in and day out by hundreds of players, but that desire to receive more and more titles in the genre is no longer noticeable. This can be seen in the little success that video games of this genre have had that have come out in recent years, being a perfect case that of Hyper Scape, the Battle Royale that Ubisoft released and that is close to shutting down its servers.
For this reason, and because it seems difficult to fit in, when we learned that Naughty Dog was working on the multiplayer mode of The Last of Us Part II, none of us thought that it would have a Battle Royale mode. Despite all this, a leak has just revealed that it is possible that we have such a mode in this long-awaited multiplayer.
The files have the key
Specifically, these data have been discovered by investigate the internal files of the game. As we know, within these files there is the occasional reference to the existence of a Battle Royale mode, which would indicate that it is very possible that it will arrive as a mode within the online of this video game. This does not mean that 100% will arrivesince it can also be remnants of an idea that was scrapped, but it could also indicate that they are working in this mode, so the easiest way to define this is that we don’t have anything clear.
No news on TLOU 2 MP yet so here’s some strings I ripped from TLOU 2’s files that hint towards a battle royale mode in Factions 2 👀 pic.twitter.com/0oAeIYwpsJ

After seeing this, the game community was divided, having on the one hand those who did not want to see this even in painting, and those who thought a game mode of this style seemed a good idea. As we have already said, we should save characters on this topic since nothing is certain, and we will have to wait until Naughty Dog decides to officially reveal the multiplayer mode of The Last of Us Part IIbecause we remember that we have not yet seen a simple cinematic trailer for him.
