A few days ago, facing the weekly discussion that we regularly propose on our Discord server, we ask you the following question:
What is your most anticipated video game of the year and why?
If we are clear about something, it is that 2022 is presented as a year full of great releases. You only have to take a look at what is coming this month of February, with games like Horizon Forbidden West or Elden Ring to mention just a couple, to confirm it, and we wanted to know which one is the most anticipated by you.
Here we leave you some of the answers that you have sent us on Discord, although, as always in these cases, the comments section is at your disposal so that you can share with all your chosen ones.
our reader ghost-man told us the following:
“God of War Ragnarok, if as with the other installments (I’ve been through them all like 4 times…), seeing the first trailer for the new game there hasn’t been a night that I haven’t thought about it.”
CorcolesFor his part, he told us this:
“Well, I’m not a game above all others, but the ones I have in mind to buy are Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, Chrono Cross and Little Devil Inside.”
We continue with the answer that left us Umo Heima:
“In my case it’s Elden Ring, and I really don’t know why. I mean, I was very attracted to the involvement of George RR Martin and the general setting of the game, but I’m not a big fan of GRRM nor am I attracted to soulslike; I’m actually pretty bad at those kinds of games. I don’t know, I guess we all live with some kind of contradiction, and this is one of mine.
What is clear is that on February 25 I will be there with a lot of desire, and if I get drunk, then nothing, to another thing butterfly.
PS: Horizon Forbidden West is also there there.
It’s what we said at the beginning: only with those two are we going to have hours and hours of fun ahead of us so as not to have to worry too much about more releases. But hey, then everyone has their tastes, we don’t see everyone playing Elden Ring. For example, workacb told us the following:
“I am Breath of the Wild 2, if it comes out this year at the end. The first game was revolutionary in the saga and, although I hope they follow the path they have marked in it, I am looking forward to seeing the novelties they bring to it” .
our reader Chronos It also moves away a bit from the rest of the candidates that have come out so far:
“Mine is definitely STALKER 2. The setting of the previous ones is unbeatable, and the mixture between shooter and survival with touches of terror and the possibility of visiting a city with such rich folklore made the saga one of my favorites.
The development of the second has been announced for more than 10 years and in the middle the study was supposedly closed. Going from that to being months away was unthinkable until a few years ago, and I can’t wait to see what can come out of such a special universe with all the modern mechanics.”
dlbenito also provides another different game:
“Triangle Strategy. I’ve been waiting a long time for an outstanding Tactical and this looks like it.”
But soon we return to the heavyweights as we can see in the comments of customer:
“The new Horizon. The truth is that I really want it and also have a lot of expectations. It scares me to take a stick with me…”.
From iTesmaz:
“Horizon Forbidden West without a doubt because I played the first one and loved it. It looks like the new one is going to have (even more) better gameplay as well.”
And of Rockotrex:
“Elden Ring, even if this only lasts me for the rest of February. After seeing the trailers, Vaati videos and what was seen from the network test, it aspires to be FromSoftware’s best souls-like work so far, applying everything learned from Demon’s. Hence the ones I look forward to the most would be Atomic Heart, because I love the style; Starfield, curious to see how Bethesda does it with a new IP; and Stalker 2, because it’s Stalker.”
We close for today with the message you sent us Sergetsu right after the Nintendo Direct that took place a few days ago:
“My goodness, what a time to ask this. Because what a year we have, and more so now that the Nintendo Direct has come out.
Because there were already Horizon, GoW, Elden Ring, Bayonet 3… and suddenly BOOM! All over your face! Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Go drink out there, I don’t know where I’m going to find time.
I haven’t answered your question, have I? I don’t feel like choosing, but maybe, throwing in antiquity, the one I’ve been waiting for the longest to come out is Bayonetta 3.”
