‘The Age of Rage’the novel published in 2011 by the Barcelona author Nando Lopezwas one of the recommended readings in the Vicente Verdú Institute of Elche, attended by Santi, the young perpetrator of the parricidal crime. In the book – which he was among the finalists of the Nadal award of the year 2010- a journalist investigates the death of a man at the hands of his son, who also leaves his brothers badly injured. Sources close to the case assure INFORMATION that the book presents “a similar plot” to the crime perpetrated in the Elche district of Algoda.
The death of Santi’s parents and brother at the hands of the minor from Elche has shocked the entire city. For this reason, the Red Cross -which is currently providing psychological care to the relatives of the deceased- will also attend next Tuesday to the students of both Els Garrofers Public School -which the detainee’s brother attended- as well as the IES Periodista Vicente Verdú, where the confessed murderer was studying.
According to sources close to the investigation, the young man had no intention of revealing the events that occurred in the family home in the Elche district of Algoda. Conversely, Santi locked himself in the house where he spent three days playing video games, while telling his classmates that he was not going to class because he had covid.
