After a remarkable passage through Xbox Series (and PC), The Medium is coming to PlayStation 5 next September. Before its imminent launch, the developer Bloober Team has presented a new version video for PS5 to show how the dual reality horror game increases the immersion through the console’s next generation controller.
“On PlayStation 5, we are making the most of the DualSense remote from the console to further immerse yourself in the mystery of the Niwa Hotel. Our goal is for players to feel Marianne’s reactions to what happens while exploring and interacting with the game world”, Explained Szymon Erdmański, producer of Bloober Team.
The Medium will allow players to explore two worlds simultaneously through a terrifying third-person psychological horror adventure with a parallel reality game style. Players take on the role of Marianne, a medium endowed with various psychic abilities, and they explore the real world and that of spirits alternately and simultaneously to uncover a dark mystery masked by haunting secrets, sinister spirits and convoluted puzzles that only a medium can solve.
The game can be pre-ordered on the PlayStation Store for € 49.99, although PS Plus subscribers have a 10% discount. All those who reserve the title will receive the digital soundtrack (by Akira Yamaoka and Arkadiusz Reikowski) and the digital art book. Additionally, Black Screen Records will release the game’s original soundtrack on vinyl and CD, with a release scheduled for October. It should be remembered that The Medium will have a special physical edition on both PS5 and Xbox Series and PC with a series of varied merchandising.
