With the arrival of New Year’s Eve, one of the most representative traditions is to make a list of resolutions, a series of sentences that, for the next cycle, will be sought to be fulfilled to the letter.
Without a doubt, one of the main emotions of December is nostalgia; the end of the year comes with reflections and, above all, with the desire to change and, to a certain extent, to be better in the near future.
And it is that, to tell the truth, 2022 was presented as the year in which we began to say “goodbye” to the lethality of Covid-19 and, in some way, to the pandemic. It is not that the virus disappears, but that it is about saying goodbye to one of the most complex periods in history.
However, in the midst of a scenario dominated by the war in the West and, consequently, inflation, it is clear that uncertainty will remain in the environment.
Ipsos, through a survey, has revealed that it reveals that nine out of ten respondents say they feel stressed by the impact of rising prices and 55 percent are more so than last year. So… what will happen in 2023?
The main New Year’s resolutions
A New Year -2023- is already very close and, as is customary throughout the world, the tradition of setting resolutions to fulfill in the next cycle continues in the habits of the global community.
According to the survey of Statista Global Consumer Surveyexercising more and leading a healthier life are the main New Year’s resolutions, with 52 and 50 percent preference among respondents.
On the other hand, as we mentioned above, in a year marked by inflation, one of the most important purposes is to save money, placing it in fourth position with 39 percent preference.
Notably, the least popular resolutions have to do with reducing alcohol and cigarette consumption, as well as doing more for the environment.
