Lynk & Co advances its new design philosophy. The Chinese brand, which already sells its models in Europe, marks the new aesthetic line of its electrified futures with the Lynk & Co The Next Day, a concept that is an example of absolute avant-garde and that will turn into a new range of plug-in hybrids more technological and efficient.
For now, Lynk & Co’s strategic line in electrification technology does not go through electric cars. The Asian giant Geely has established guidelines for each of the brands that are part of its holding company, letting the Chinese firm that already sells its models in Europe continues betting on plug-in hybrids. The new Lynk & Co The Next Day advances the future to the present with a very avant-garde aesthetic that will govern the future offer of the brand.
The lure of concept is unquestionable, and, although it is the first renewal for six yearsin reality we can see that it is more of a logical evolution than a revolution, since the front light groups are practically kept. Features intrinsic to the Lynk & Co profile that transform the front area with its new design, thanks to a new grille in the center of the bumper and two air intakes on the sides for ventilation and cooling, as well as house the sensors of the driving assistants, of which the firm has pointed out that they are LiDAR.

While the front edge is occupied by a thin string of LED lights, the new lights stand out at the rear. With the same lighting technology, combine sections vertical and horizontal also showcasing a new Lynk & Co logo, shifting when the rear spoiler is deployed. The conceptual preview also reveals futuristic details, such as the vertical opening of the doors, the rear ones with a reverse anchorage in the purest style known as suicide doors opening the way to a unique interior thanks to the absence of B-pillars.
Filled with natural light from the large panoramic roof, the most advanced technology is present, with level 4 autonomous driving solutions, and four seats upholstered in blue velvet. The dashboard has a 3D holographic display to project relevant information on the ceiling when the front seats are fully reclined and the vehicle drives itself. Otherwise, the driver is provided with a panoramic screen.
The luxurious Lynk & Co The Next Day is based on a new platform ready for the new plug-in hybrid technology “E-Motive” to be released before 2025with different motor configurations, to choose between front and four wheel drive. The manufacturer has withheld many details, but has pointed to a battery that will offer maximum autonomies of 60, 100 and 150 kilometers with a single charge and to an unprecedented automatic transmission, called “DHT” -dedicated hybrid transmission- with three speeds and with a “Launch Control” mode. This will offer extra power between 80 and 120 km/h, useful in recoveries and overtaking.
