Due to some situations, lately I have been doing a mental review of how the soccer industry in Mexico. I think that all the actors involved in one way or another have done so and I stopped to think about those silent actors who are rarely talked about, but who have contributed a lot to the development and professionalization of our industry. That is why I want to dedicate this column to exploring the legacy of the Johan Cruyff Institute Mexico.
In the Mexican Republic, the Johan Cruyff Institute (JCI) has spent more than 20 years forming leaders in the world of sports through its educational programs in sports management.
I am fortunate to be part of this history starting back in 2005 as a student first and later as part of the Faculty Pool in 2010, where I started teaching workshops on the use of technology for tactical analysis and over time to be sharing knowledge of Sports MarketingSponsorships and business intelligence.
I can say with almost certainty that the current great players of the clubs and of Mexican soccer have gone through cruyff Institute. Giving names could be idle, but this fact speaks of the fact that it continues to be a fundamental pillar for the development that we have seen.
The interesting thing is that JCI It has offices in different parts of the world and, above all, the Institute has stood out for its pragmatic approach and, above all, for providing those who participate with useful and current tools. In my case, I have forced myself to update the cases, the way of presenting, incorporating new elements, etc. Everything, so that those who receive this information know from different perspectives all the elements that make the Industry Sporty and then they can direct their skills to the area that interests them the most.
In Mexico, the Johan Cruyff Institute the main program is the famous MINAF (Master
International Football Business and Administration) which aims to provide a critical understanding of the football industry and business that revolve around it to facilitate the development of your skills and apply knowledge effectively. Whoever completes this program ends up prepared to occupy a position in any organization or company related to soccer. And right there lies the importance that leads me to this reflection: after more than 20 years of presence in Mexico, we can think that it must have contributed a lot for the industry to grow and to grow, professional, updated and highly trained people are needed. And at the same time, it forces us to offer the best of those of us who are on the other side, it forces us to be updated, to document our experiences, and to find the best way to share them with others.
The legacy of the Johan Cruyff Institute At a global level, it translates into the training of highly trained professionals in the sports field, with a global and updated vision of the world of sports, and the ability to lead projects and teams in the sports industry.
