The last of us has received harsh criticism after the premiere of its most recent episode.
Inclusion is an important theme in the construction of the HBO Max series.
The statement invites those who disagree to stop watching the series.
The account of “The last of us”, the new HBO Max series, shared a message for their haters, who complained on social networks about “the change” that was given to one of their characters. However, creators of the series and fans have pointed out that this “change” had actually been a characteristic feature of the character in question since his debut in audiovisual media.
The series “The Las of Us” is an adaptation of the video game of the same name, which is set in 2013, in the United States, where a pandemic caused by the Coddyceps fungus turns people into cannibals. The series stars actors Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie).
“The last of us” is pronounced by inclusion; asks dissatisfied “not to watch the series”
Today, and after the premiere of its third chapter, the HBO Max original series shared a message after the criticism received around the LGBT scenes. Inclusion has been a recurring theme in the series and the creators have commented that it would deepen human relationships in the same way.
And it is that, after the kiss carried out by two actors of the series, the platform received a somewhat divided reception and, according to what is mentioned, the series would lose an important audience after this chapter. Despite the fact that each of the chapters has had an excellent reception, this could mean a negative impact on the expected numbers.
For this reason, the account and the directors of the series sent a strong message to the detractors of the inclusion, noting that this is an adaptation of the video game, so “if someone wants to see exactly the same as in the video game, I should just play it.” In addition to this, the message was supported by a large part of the fans, who assure that inclusion has been a recurring theme in this apocalyptic story.
This was the message shared by the series account:

This is not the only controversy that has arisen around the case, as we remember that a few days ago, Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie, declared herself to be an openly gender-fluid person, something that bothered many, despite the fact that the character that she plays is also from the LGBT community.
Perhaps for this reason, the message of the HBO Max series carries so much weight, since it points directly to those who oppose inclusion and call it “forced.” With this, the position of the series becomes much more significant.
Other companies that have dealt with these types of issues have been Disney. Let’s remember that, in recent years, some of his films have not been released in certain parts of the world because they contain LGBT themes. In the case of Disney, however, there was also a controversy over its support for the “don’t say gay” law.
