Little by little, after yesterday’s avalanche of news, we are discovering more changes in the iPhone catalog. After the presentation of the new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Apple has withdrawn the 256GB variant from sale of the iPhone SE.
Getting ready for the third-generation iPhone SE
The presentation of the new iPhone has brought several changes in the phone catalog of the apple company. The Pro variants of both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 11 have disappeared, although the normal and mini models are still available. Another change is the adjustment of specifications in the iPhone SE, as shown in iPhone Ticker.
This iPhone SE was initially presented in three variants: 64, 128 and 256 GB. Of them now we can only choose between the first two. The move does indeed make sense, as the asking price of the 256GB variant of the iPhone SE was dangerously close to the price of the 64 or 128GB configurations of the iPhone 12 mini.
If we add to that the rumors of a new iPhone SE during the spring of 2022, everything seems to indicate that the company is optimizing the assembly line when you stop making a model from which we can speculate a smaller number of sales. A move to focus on future iPhones.
While the iPhone SE stops offering one of its configurations while maintaining prices, it should be remembered that we have seen adjustments of about 100 euros less in the iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12. With this, there is a very diverse catalog, ready for us to choose exactly the iPhone that best suits our preferences and tastes.
