Foxconn, the manufacturers of the iPhone, have entered the field of electric cars. The Taiwanese firm has just presented a concept car that advances a future model that will hit the market loaded with technology. This is the Foxtron Model B, an interesting option that exudes Pininfarina’s avant-garde design.
Asian manufacturers are true leaders in technology but not in design, a fundamental quality to succeed in Western markets, using prestigious design studios. The Italians of Pininfarina are responsible for the concept car presented by those responsible for Hon Hai Technology Groupand an important batch of electric cars that will arrive from Asia to the European market in the coming years
The Foxtron Model B has been unveiled in Taipei by the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, the one that makes the iPhone. The future rival of the Volkswagen ID.3 and CUPRA Born, presents an elegant, avant-garde and well-proportioned design aimed especially at the new generation of young people, whose silhouette is reminiscent of the electric car of the Spanish sports brand. The headlights are divided into two levels, with daylight in a fine ribbon that extends widthwise below the edge of the hood, while the main functions are housed at a lower level in the extremes.

A very sporty design at the front and also at the rear, where the headlights reproduce the design of the headlights. Those of Pininfarina have chosen to implement a roof line that, starting from the windshield pillars, an “S” shape is visible to the rear, while the rear pillar panels act as an air curtain to reduce turbulence. The result is a aerodynamic drag coefficient of only 0.26x.
Based on the Foxtron Model C, the manufacturer has been forced to make some changes to the miH platform, especially to develop a very spacious and comfortable cabin. One of the qualities is its wide wheelbase of 2.8 meters, so it can accommodate five passengerswhile the total length reaches 4.3 meters, ideal for getting around in urban traffic.
The future Hon Hai model will debut on the market in 2024, loaded with technology in all aspects. Proof of this is its lighting with “Pixel-LED” technology, which allows playback of notices in the form of icons in the rear lights. The technical characteristics of it have not been revealed, although the Taiwanese have communicated very interesting details; its battery will be solid state and will offer a maximum autonomy of 450 kilometerswhile its powerful electric motors will take only 3.8 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h.
