IPhone 13 could say goodbye and goodbye to 64GB of storage. Information that arrives a few days after the official presentation of the devices and that, if confirmed, will be very well received by the majority of users.
Saying report comes from the popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who in turn confirms another of the possibilities that had been considering for months: a 1TB capacity iPhone. As he points out, this option would be, yes, reserved only for the iPhone 13 Pro models.
The capacity, critical point for every user, would thus be a notably improved section in the new smartphones of the Cupertino firm.
iPhone 13 and 13 Pro: from 128GB to 1TB
The first iPhone to introduce 64GB as a base storage option was the iPhone X, back in 2017. At that time it was an obvious difference compared to the 32GB of the iPhone 8 and previous models, but today it seems insufficient for terminals with a high sales value.
That is why the Californian firm would raise the base capacity of the iPhone 13 and 13 mini to 128GB. This model would be joined by two others with greater capacity, as is tradition, which this year would be 256GB and 512GB.
In the case of the iPhone 13 Pro changes are also expected. But they would not be so remarkable, since the base model would continue to be 128GB (thus eliminating this factor as a differential between the standard model and the one with the best features, present in the current iPhone 12 and 12 Pro).
What they would include The 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, however, would be a 1TB capacity version. Such storage is unprecedented so far in Apple smartphones, and would thus serve to respond to the most demanding users.
In this way, and always taking into account what was revealed by unofficial sources, the storage section would be established as follows this year in the iPhone:
- iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini: 128, 256 and 512GB.
- iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: 128, 256, 512GB and 1TB.
Apple is expected to present these new terminals, along with the new Apple Watch Series 7, next Tuesday, September 14.
