There is just over a month left for the expected presentation of the iPhone 13. We already know most of the general details about it (although not officially, as usual); but a few weeks after its presentation, new rumors continue to happen.
Now, and as usual, it is Bloomberg the one that brings out again what we will see in the presentation, which will presumably be held on September 14. Everything, yes, if the times to which Apple is accustomed do not change.
According to the American media, the iPhone 13 will take an important step forward in terms of video recording. First, Mark Gurman indicates that the new models will be able to record video in portrait mode, something that, until now, was only available in photographs.
However, this will not be the only improvement in this area. Apple is also expected to carry the format ProRes to iPhone 13, which allows users to record videos with more information, which translates into a more control during post-production. You could say that the format ProRes is the equivalent of ProRAW of the photographs.
ProRes is a format widely used in the film industry and the professional market, and not so much by normal users, so it would not be a surprise that this is a capacity limited to the iPhone 13 Pro.
iPhone 13: improvements in the camera hand in hand with the software and not so much with the hardware
In addition to the improvements purely focused on the video, the iPhone 13 would also bring with it a series of new filters that would improve the appearance of the images captured by the terminal. Details in this regard are scant, but according to Bloomberg, this new function would make use of the chip neural rather than applying a fair filter to the entire image.
Cameras aside, Gurman indicates that the new iPhones will bring relatively modest updates. If nothing changes, Apple will keep the same sizes of 5.4 inches and 6.1 inches for the normal ones; and 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches for the Pro. The same design would also be retained.
What would change is the new A15 chip –Faster– and the notch, which will now be a little smaller. The new models will also have a new screen with a higher refresh rate, although this function could be limited to the iPhone Pro.
