The Huawei P50 Pro, one of the most advanced smartphones from the Shenzhen firm, lands in Europe months after being announced in the Asian market. The company has revealed the price and availability in Spain of this model that tries to stand out for its photographic capabilities and that does not forget other areas, such as the screen, autonomy or performance.
Huawei’s new flagship for Spain, in fact, includes very similar specifications to the rest of the range smartphones premium announced during 2021. Among them, the Xiaomi Mi 11 or the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, the restrictions imposed by the United States have made its functions somewhat more limited compared to its competition. The Huawei P50 Pro, for example, arrives with the Snapdragon 888 processor, one of Qualcomm’s most powerful SoCs, but it is a variant that only connects to 4G networks. It maintains, yes, a high RAM memory, with a variant that reaches up to 12 GB, as well as internal memory versions of 128 or 256 GB.
Regarding the screen, the Huawei P50 Pro bets on a 6.6-inch OLED-panel with a resolution that falls somewhere between Full HD and 2K, as well as a screen refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. All this, in addition, powered by a 4,350 mAh battery, which can be charged through an adapter of up to 66W, or via wireless charging.
The cameras of the Huawei P50 Pro
The design of the Huawei P50 Pro makes it clear what its star feature is. And it is that, despite the fact that the company has included elegant materials and a front with hardly any frames, what is most striking about its appearance is that huge module for the camera on the back. Camera for which they maintain their collaboration with Leica and that it has a total of four lenses of up to 64 megapixels of resolution. This set of sensors, which are called Dual Matrix, are distributed as follows:
- wide angle camera 50 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture.
- Sensor 13 megapixel ultra wide angle with f/2.2 aperture.
- Sensor 40 megapixel monochrome with f/1.6 aperture.
- Camera 64 megapixel telephoto with f/3.5 aperture, 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
The company, yes, has not neglected in its Huawei P50 Pro the technologies capable of offering more realistic photographic results. These, called XD Optics and XD Fusion Pro, are responsible for improving the dynamic range in those conditions where the photograph has more illuminated areas than others. They can also improve color reproduction capabilities, offering more realistic tones in images.
How much does the new Huawei mobile cost?
The Huawei P50 Pro can be purchased from today in the company’s official store at a price of €1,199. A figure that places it in the same league in which a priori superior phones such as the Galaxy S21 Ultra or the iPhone 13 Pro compete.
