Huawei continues to announce smartphones in the global market despite its significant limitations in terms of software, services and use of 5G networks. The latest addition? The Huawei Mate 50 Prowhich is positioned as the new flagship of the firm to try to convince consumers that a good camera is enough to counteract the important absences that unfortunately come to this device.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro, however, also has other interesting sections that go beyond its camera. One of them, for example, is its design. The company has opted for a line very similar to its predecessor, the Mate 40 Pro. It has done so, specifically, by maintaining the circular photographic module in the center and with that practically all-screen front that stands out for its double curvature on the edges and that now, surprisingly, welcomes the notch back.
And speaking of the screen, that of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is 6.74 inches. It is an OLED panel with a QHD + resolution, 1212 x 2616 pixels, and with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This configuration is accompanied by a 4,700 mAh battery, as well as a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen. 1.
This SoC, however, is somewhat different from what we see, for example, in the Xiaomi 12 Pro; well It only has compatibility with 4G networks. And it is that the firm, let us remember, is prohibited from using 5G technology due to the restrictions imposed by the United States, despite having a license with Qualcomm to do business.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro, on the other hand, It also does not have Google services.. Instead, the company has opted for its own ecosystem, called Huawei Mobile Service. This is made up of platforms that replace the ones we currently see in the rest of Android mobiles, such as the App Gallery to download applications.
So are the cameras of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro is equipped with a triple main camera. Its configuration, a priori, seems very similar to what we see in the rest of the premium range smartphones, but it has important differences.
The Mate 50 Pro’s primary sensor is a 50-megapixel Ultra Aperture sensor. Get this name, because the camera features a physical opening of 10 levels — from f/1.4 to f/— which allows you to adjust the aperture automatically depending on the light for sharper photos.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro includes, on the other hand, a 13 megapixel ultra wide angle camera resolution, which can also be used to capture macro images.
The company has also not abandoned the telephoto sensor which, in this case, is 64 megapixels. This camera allows you to capture images with a 3x optical zoom, a 5x hybrid (combination of optical and digital zoom) and a digital crop of up to 100x.
Price and availability of the new Huawei flagship
