The Galaxy Z Fold was Samsung’s first foray into the foldable phone market, a terminal that had quite a few things to improve, something logical considering that it was a first generation. The Galaxy Z Flip was the second folding smartphone that the Korean company presented at the beginning of the year, a practically round terminal.
With the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung solved the main problems of the first generation as well as perfecting aspects as important as the hinge and introducing an ultra- thin glass protection on the screen, the same technology that we could find in the Galaxy Z Flip.
Practically all the high-end terminals that Samsung offers on the market offer us a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, except the Galaxy Z Flip. Fortunately, according to Ice Universe, the second generation of this model will incorporate a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip in February 2020 with a 4G version. In the middle of the year, specifically in August, it presented the 5G version, a more powerful version than the 4G version but with 5G connectivity. Samsung was initially expected to introduce this model in early 2021.
And I say it was expected because the latest news related to the second generation of the Galaxy Z Flip suggest that it will not be officially presented with the Galaxy S21 , but will be presented a few months later, probably in the middle of the year, when Samsung presents the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
What the next generation of the Galaxy Z Flip will not offer us, will be support for the S Pen, now that everything seems to indicate that Samsung has decided to get rid of the Note range and integrate its stylus into the S range and probably also in the Galaxy Z range. Fold 3.
