Thousands of users around the world are unhappy with Samsung’s management of the Galaxy S20 and its processor. These complaints come after knowing that the performance of the Exynos 990 is very different from that of the Snapdragon 865, the processor that is mounted on the Galaxy S20 in some markets. Today it’s time to talk, again, about processors and Samsung. Information has arrived from South Korea stating that the Galaxy Note 20 that will be presented in August will change chips. This is good news, but it could expose the Korean company.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 would opt for the Exynos 992
The Exynos 992 has been on the lips of some specialized media for processors and microelectronics for some time now. It is a processor that will have the benefits of ARM, although not with the much-awaited Cortex-X1 cores. This processor is already being manufactured and will be available in August. A Korean media confirms that the Exynos 992 will be present in the next generation of Galaxy Note, that is, Note 20.
Exynos 992 is made 5 nm and will cores ARM Cortex-A78. In addition, it will also use the Mali-G78 GPU. This processor will be, according to the advances and leaks, much more powerful than the current Exynos 990. It will have much more advanced technology inside and it will focus on efficiency.
There is nothing 100% confirmed, but there are several sources that claim that this would be the new processor for the Galaxy Note 20.
Samsung could admit that the Exynos 990 is not enough
For years Samsung has used the same processors for the Galaxy S series as for the Galaxy Note series. It has always been like this and now it could change, something that makes one suspect. The criticisms are there and the evidences too: the Exynos 990 is not too worthy a rival to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The difference between the Galaxy S20 from different markets is quite remarkable.
Changing processor between series and series Samsung could be confirming this. At all times the company has defended the use of Exynos in markets like Europe, but renewing the processor would be giving the reason to users who have been complaining. Samsung wants the best for its terminals and opting for Exynos 990 in the Galaxy Note 20 does not seem to be the best.
At the moment everything is unknown based on leaks, so we recommend you take the information with tweezers and wait. The Galaxy Note 20 will be presented in August this year , the same date that the Exynos 992 will be ready.
