Thank you, Felipe, for what I learned from you, for your time and advice, for believing in me until the end; You will always live in my memories and gratitude.
I am convinced that each one of us carves out our future, which is based on a continuum of today and thousands of yesterdays.
In our life we will have successes and failures, we will learn from both, but more from failure; the difficult moments, in which we make mistakes, in which we deviate from the path, help us if we reason about it and learn from them, to be better every day.
It’s not something automatic, as if our life handled itself.
We have to learn to be critical of ourselves, evaluate the good and bad times, objectively, but with a proactive attitude. It is not about flagellating ourselves, rather, about growing as a person.
We must learn to control our head, to make it work with certain parameters that allow us to be aware that we choose what we think, that we spend time in our mind.
It is very easy to think something and assume that it is correct, if we do not control our mind, it will end up generating ideas based on our environment, on what we see and read on social networks, on those who want to manipulate us for their purposes, etc.
Some guidelines that I consider good in order to learn to control our thoughts are:
– Be positive.
– Base our way of thinking based on universal values, human values.
– Generosity with others.
– Do not allow thoughts that focus on gossip, that speak ill of someone, that judge others; On the contrary, if we start from the basis that we all have defects, errors, falls, etc., we must realize that we are nobody to judge others, much less to create a bad reputation for them.
– Know what we dedicate time to and how much time we dedicate to our spouse, to each of our children, to work, to the family in general, to friends, to recreation, to preparing ourselves day by day in what we do, update us.
– Share time with whom we can interact intelligently, from whom we learn and to whom we can leave some good ideas.
– Be empathetic.
– Dedicate ourselves to what we are passionate about.
– Be present at the moment, if we are eating with someone, dedicate all our attention to them and not be looking at the cell phone or talking to third parties.
– Be aware that the most valuable asset is the time of each one, that cannot be replenished and we do not know how much we have.
– Search each day for the truth about what we are doing.
– Exercise resilience, for example, when starting a company, an enterprise; It will be a very difficult, slow path, which can be very discouraging at times, where we knock on 100 doors and five are opened for us, but if we manage to be persevering, optimistic and work hard for as long as necessary, the chances of achieving our goals are more high every day.
– Work for a better future for our family and for Mexico.
I highly recommend young people to realize that their future lies in them and not in what day-to-day life takes them; you build your life every day.
Live from day to day.
And there is something fundamental, always looking for the truth in things, with objectivity and being aware that it is not easy.
But living and operating on the truth will help us to be stronger as a person, on our way.
I give a very simple example, you have to find the truth in the reports of a company, if the ones we have do not reflect it, our decisions will be wrong.
And it is the same in life, we cannot deny that there is 24 hours day and night, that the United States is north of Mexico, that gender violence is based on cowardice, etc.
And yes, in many things we will find different truths, especially in complicated issues that involve several people; part of what one says is true and part is not, hence the importance of seeking the truth in depth, understanding the side of each one, however difficult it may be, and being able to reach an objective truth.
