Almost two years have passed since the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Ubisoft has shown no signs of slowing down support. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to receive a massive update that will bring a new free game mode called “The Forgotten Saga” and a host of bug fixes to increase player satisfaction, coming this week.
Given that Ubisoft has been focusing heavily on the Assassin’s Creed franchise as part of its future plans, it’s no wonder how much content it has received. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Numerous story expansions have delved into the Viking mythology from which the game draws, and an unlikely crossover occurred when Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s main protagonist found his place in the Valhalla timeline.
Content is flowing into the game, and this update will be no different, as The Forgotten Saga highlights the update 1.60 when it arrives, this August 2nd. The Forgotten Saga is a roguelike mode that launches players into Niflheim as Odin, who will face the forces of Hel.
Players will not have access to any of their gear discovered in the base game and will need to survive on what they discover through their runs through the new mode. As usual for games with similar elements, this new mode will require a lot of patience and experimentation as there will be many side quests that will require multiple rolls to complete.
This mode is free for all players with the update 1.60 and will be accessible only after reaching Asgard in the base game. Along with the introduction of the new mode, the Sigrblot Festival also returns to the game. From August 4 to August 25, players will be able to participate in the festival, exchange opals for exclusive festival rewards, and possibly participate in some challenges and activities.
There will also be numerous bug fixes in the base game and expansions. The size of the patch will vary depending on the platform. Xbox Series X|S users will get a 26GB upgrade, Xbox One 19.6GB, PlayStation 5 12.5GB, PlayStation 4 17.5GB, and PC 23.7GB.
