Again Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, will host another important crypto event this year as From August 11 to 13, the first edition of ETHLatam will be held, a three-day conference on Ethereum in which infrastructure, DeFi, DAOs and NFTs will be discussed.
This conference on Ethereum is planned to bring together several developers, exponents of the ecosystem and the Latin American community in general. Some of the exponents that will meet at the event will be the following: Santiago Palladino (Open Zeppelin), Camila Russo (The Defiant), Mariano Conti (former Maker Dao), Stani Kulechov (Aave Companies), Patricio Palladino (Nomic), Nadia Álvarez (Maker Growth) Alejo Salles (Flashbots), Camila Ramos (Edge & Node) and Gerrit Hall (Curve), are some of the speakers already confirmed for the event in which tickets will be free.
Likewise, the conference that will take place at the Buenos Aires Convention Center is part of the events prior to Devcon, for their part the organizers have highlighted that the Argentine capital was chosen as the first venue for this event thanks to “the vibrant community and high adoption of cryptocurrencies in the country.”
Notably Last year Argentina was positioned in the top-10 in the world ranking of cryptocurrency adoption according to the Chainalysis index. The high degree of adoption and development of crypto projects in Argentina has made the country the cradle of many top projects worldwide: Open Zeppelin, Decentraland, POAP, among other great developments.
Vitalik Buterin, creator of Ethereum, During his visit to Argentina last December, he spoke about the fact that the capacities of the people, over and above the low capacity of the state, turned the South American nation in a perfect environment for blockchains to have a big impact.
“The difference between Argentina and some of the richer countries is that in the richer places people are excited about the ideas and theory of cryptocurrencies, but people here in Argentina deeply understand that cryptocurrencies are solving real problems for them.”Buterin noted.
Finally, according to the organizers and its promoters, the objective is to take the ETHLatam event to other countries in the region in the future to continue promoting the emergence of an empowered Latin America in economic, cultural and technological terms.
“In Latin America, the possibilities that Ethereum enables are not an option, but the alternative for individuals to build a new system where no one is left behind”the organizers reported.
