According to the study “Evolution of fintech employment 2022” carried out by the Argentine Fintech Chamber With the collaboration of Great Place to Work Argentina, the projection by the end of 2022 is to exceed 27,000 jobs, which represents an annual increase of 15% compared to the end of the previous year. In Argentina, the fintech sector continues to create jobs. Currently more than 23,000 people work in the sector, that is, 4 times more than at the beginning of the Argentine Fintech Chamber, back in 2017. On the other hand, the companies consulted for this work estimated that by the end of this year 3,600 new jobs will be generated.
The report, which was prepared by the Chamber together with Great Place To Work ® Argentina, provides other data that reveal the incidence of a sector that managed to withstand the impact of an unfavorable national and international contextadding value to the local economy.
Fintech employment is growing in 20 Argentine provinces, thus increasing the generation of job opportunities within the country. Like the previous year, the highest concentration is recorded in the main urban centers. Although the distribution has greater preponderance in the province of Buenos Aires and Federal Capital, an expansion is observed in localities such as Córdoba, Mendoza and Santa Fe.

In the 330 fintechs that currently make up the Argentine sector, one out of every two employees develops their talent in areas of Technology and Business Development.
42% of fintech positions are held by women, which shows an improvement of 5% compared to the previous year and an important approach to achieving the goal of total gender parity.
A large percentage of the positions (80%) respond to knowledge economy disciplines such as: technology (44%), business development (14%), finance (13%) and digital product (13%).
In relation to the profiles sought by companies in the technology sector, the largest number is aimed at professionals linked to the development of Backend and Fullstack in tune with the year 2021.
