It’s been a few weeks since we were able to test Battlefield 2042 through its open beta, so since EA and Ripple Effect A new official statement arrives to cover the issues most discussed by players at this time … and announce several more specialists.
For newcomers, BF 2042 aims to evolve the traditional concept of lessons of the franchise with more unique characters, with their own names, models and history. And even exclusive mechanical accessories, too, in the line of Rainbow 6 Siege operators.
We have already been able to play as Mackay (assault), Falck (medic), Casper (recon) and Boris (support); to which the veteran also joins Irish from Battlefield 4, played by the late actor Michael K. Williams. The specialist staff —Which has not had the best reception from the community— will grow to 10 for the final game. Here are the five remaining characters.
- Navin rao joins as a recognition unit, specialized in computer systems.
- Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza Bring a huge ballistic shield to the assault ranks.
- Maybe the name of Emma “Sundance” Rosier It sounds like you from old gameplays: he is an assault character with a very useful air suit.
- Ji-Soo Park it also plays as recon, and carries an electromagnetic scanner that reveals key information at the interface.
- Finally, Constantin “Angel” Anghel Play as a support, deploying resource boxes and new equipment on the battlefield.
Apart from this, a new entry shared through the official blog tells us about the lessons learned after this great phase of technical tests. And it clears up some misunderstandings, too. For example, the team formerly known as DICE Los Angeles explains that the beta was, in effect, an old version of the game that did not have some features present today but at least it was something more stable. A very typical move in the industry, but it does not hurt to remember in the face of possible frowns.
That said, the final version of Battlefield 2042 should allow us deploy more tanks simultaneously during the game (whatever possible, taking into account the possibilities of the hardware) and there will be new indicators in the Interface and even some animations that were not present in the beta.
So, for example, the compass will remain constantly present and readable rather than just while aiming the weapon in order to give effective directions to our companions. We will also see games where bots they are more frequently and efficiently replaced by real players, and adjustments in the readability of the models so that you can distinguish friends from enemies in a solid way.
Battlefield 2042 will be available on November 19. You can pre-order it now on Steam, Origin and the Epic Games Store.
