In great news for the entire Elder Scrolls gaming community, this year’s adventure, announced on The Elder Scrolls Online 2022 World Preview Stream, brings us “Legacy of the Bretons,” to be published on June 6, 2022.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that this new chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle, set in a location never seen in The Elder Scrolls saga, will be available on PC/Mac and Stadia; for Xbox and PlayStation, will make its debut on June 21.
In High Isle, ESO’s more than 20 million players will visit an island paradise steeped in medieval culture and architecture, filled with magnificent castles and exciting jousting arenas. The story of this year’s chapter focuses on political intrigue, and High Island is the perfect destination for alliance delegates to engage in peace talks to end the War of the Three Banners.
As the noble Society of the Unbreakable celebrates its summit, players will have to keep an eye out for the Order of Ascendants and their murky motivations. The Systres archipelago is an unexplored region inspired by the beautiful Mediterranean coasts caressed by the wind.
Here lies the impressive setting of the High Isle, home to the Bretons, the descendants of the union between humans and elves. The elite live in the feudal area of Gonfalón Bay, the nerve center of all political affairs on Isla Alta. First of all, cruelty is a virtue here, so players will have to watch their backs!
Last year, ESO introduced companions, and in 2022, ZeniMax Online Studios continues to support this system. Players will have access to two new companions: Ember, a street-raised Khajiit with a certain talent for magic, and Isobel, a Breton aspiring knight who feels called to do good alongside players.
This year also sees the release of a brand new card game called Tribute Stories, which can be enjoyed within the world of ESO. It is an original game of accumulation of resources, invented in High Island, with PvP and PvE options.
Players will be able to rank up in Tribute Stories’ own level system. In addition, they will be able to obtain magnificent rewards, such as furniture or transmutation stones, and advance in a story by competing with specific NPCs around the world.
As part of the base game patch, and coinciding with the release of High Isle, players will be able to enjoy the translation of the game’s texts into Spanish, on June 6 for PC/Mac and Stadia, and on June 21 for Xbox. and PlayStation. Although the dubbing will continue to be in English, all the texts and subtitles of past, present and future content will have their translation into Spanish.
